SCHOOL NEWS: #2018 Scholars, Leaders, and Saints Calendar, Date Change for Christmas Program, Yearbook Early Sale, Breakfast with Santa, Parents' Night Out and Angel Tree
1.      #2018 Scholars, Leaders, and Saints Calendar - This is an important fundraiser for our school and for the Deanery Tuition Assistance Fund and we need your help to make it a success!  If we can meet our school goal of 1,000, we will bring in $15,000 for our Annual Fund and over $20,000 for tuition Assistance in the Chattanooga Deanery. If we surpass that and reach 1,250, we will get an additional day off school in the spring! We are also offering rewards for the highest selling class. Please drop by the office if you need additional forms, and feel free to refer friends, parishioners and relatives to the website, to purchase as well: http://bit.ly/2x1z4pR.
2.      Christmas Program, We have changed the date of the Christmas Program to Monday, December 18th at 6:00 P.M.
3.      Yearbook Early Sale - Lifetouch has already begun the yearbook sale for the 2017-2018 school year.  Flyers will be going out within the next couple days.  Deadline for early ordering is December 1st.  You will still be able to order a yearbook until the end of the school year online.
4.      Breakfast with Santa - BREAKFAST WITH SANTA - This annual family event is scheduled for Saturday, December 9th and takes place in the OLPH PLC and Gym.  Enjoy a full buffet breakfast, games, holiday activities, and of course, a picture with Santa himself. The price is $10 per person or

5.      Parents' Night Out - Parents’ Knight Out Friday, December 1, 5:30-9:00. Drop your children (kindergarten through 6th grade) off for a fun night of chess at OLPH with the Chess Ninja (of after school chess club) and friends! Children will do chess-inspired activities, play chess, and learn how to be chess ninjas!  Parents can enjoy a quiet dinner out or Christmas shopping while their children have a fantastic time learning all about teamwork, problem solving, and strategy, while having lots of fun.  Pizza and drinks will be provided for all ninjas. Cost is $25 per child, $50 maximum per family. Sign up at www.chessninja.org/knightout/  Limited spots available, so sign up early!  For more information, contact Thomas Lane, the Chess Ninja, at tl@chessninja.org.
6.      Angel Tree -The Parish Angel Tree Is in Holy Family Hall. Please pick an Angel if you are able as this will be the only Christmas these children will have this year. Simply pick an angel, purchase the gift and return it unwrapped to the tree or the parish office.  If you select a gift card you can purchase it from the school’s ScripProgram and return it that day. Thank you for giving the gift of Love to a needy family.

·        The Booster Club is hosting a Fall Sports Banquet on Wednesday, November 29th from 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. This includes team members and their families from: Cheerleading, Cross Country, Football, Soccer, Swimming and Tennis.  Booster Club will provide pizza.  Families are asked to bring item according to the following:  families with last name of A - G: desserts, families with last names of H - P: side dishes and families with last names of Q - Z: drinks.  Please RSVP to kingle@myolph.com your family name and number attending.
·         Christmas gift ideas.....SPIRIT STORE IS OPEN!!!! Please visit Sports Spectrum at https://sportsspectrum.itemorder.com/ and use code OLPHBKB17 to purchase your BASKETBALL swag as well as your, every Wednesday spirit wear apparel.  We have added a new VERY soft unisex t-shirt and a comfy embroidered stadium seat. If you have a basketball player playing this winter, there is a suggested shooting shirt you can purchase for them. It is not required, but it will be their warm up shooting shirt to use before games. Thank you for your support of the athletic program at OLPH. All spirit wear will be in by 12-19 and delivered ONLY to PARENTS just in case they are Christmas presents. Store Closes at midnight on NOVEMBER 19th!!! It cannot be reopened due to Christmas rush so order NOW before you forget. GO RAMS!

1.      Catholic Charities Bake Sale - The Catholic Charities Bake Sale is a longstanding Chattanooga tradition that raises much-needed funds for counseling, pregnancy help, immigration support, housing for those living with AIDS, and many other services for those in need. Help our community to help others by providing HOME-BAKED pies, cakes, cookies or breads for the sale in our parish the weekend of November 18-19. 2.      Boy Scout BBQ - .OLPH Boy Scout Troop 115 is having a BBQ Sale on Sunday, November 5th, beginning after the 8:00 A.M. Mass. Reserve your BBQ today.  Text your order to 423-421-1984 or email your order to Dan@DanGriess.com.  Whole pulled pork butt injected, rubbed, pulled and smoked, served hot in aluminum ½ pan covered ready to go. The cost is $45 or by the pound for $15.  Smoked under the watchful eye of the award winning Owls Nest BBQ Competition Team.  Each 8 - 9 pound butt will feed 12 - 14 people.  A pound of BBQ will feed 4 - 5 people.  We will have your order ready for pick up after all Sunday morning masses.  Reserve yours today.
