·        Home and School Reception - ATTENTION EVERYONE!!!!
We are going to be having a Home and School Meeting on May 22nd from 5:30-7 in the school gym. This is going to be a get together so that anyone that would like to can celebrate the memories that some of our prized teachers have had here at OLPH. Leslie Fox, Patti Morrison and Karen Carden will be retiring and we want to celebrate them!! Hope to see everyone there!!!! ALL ARE INVITED!
·        Summer Office Hours - The School Office Hours for the summer are Wednesday's 9:00 A.M. - 2:00 P.M.
·        God Camp - It's time to sign your children up for God Camps this summer. Registrations went home this week with your children. Incoming 7th and 8th graders are at Reach, June 24-27 and incoming 5th and 6th graders are at Discover, June 27-29. Both held at Harrison Bay State Park at their Group Camp. Youth will be staying in cabins with 3 of their friends and 2 high school leaders. ·        Tables for Sale - We have 44 round wooden banquet tables to sell.  You may purchase 1 or as many as you like.  All offers will be considered. Contact the school office if you are interested.
·        Volunteer Reception - We invite anyone who has volunteered this school year in any capacity at OLPH School to join us for light snacks and adult beverages on Thursday, May 23, from 6 - 7:30 pm in the Parish Life Center as we honor YOU, our volunteers. Our incoming Principal, Mr. Paul Jette will also be introduced during this event. No Children, please!
·        PIP Hours -2018-2019 PIP Hours: If you have not entered all of your PIP hours into ParentsWeb for this school year, please do so immediately! Each family is expected to finish 8 hours per student, with a maximum requirement of 20 for a family. We ask that you make up for any shortage with a payment of $10 per hour to the OLPH Annual Fund. Contact Cissy West with any questions or if you are having difficulty entering your hour

SCHOOL NEWS:  Teacher Appreciation, Grandparents Day, Box Tops, Nature's Place, Book Fair, Yearbook and B.V.M. Awards
·        Teacher Appreciation - Teacher Appreciation week will be here before you know it! It's going to be a busy week!! So I am starting early asking for help with covering the classes so that the teachers can enjoy a delicious homemade lunch without any interruptions from our wonderful children!! We have lots of fun activities that I will be sharing with you all (In Secret of course) Please take a moment and sign up for one of our teachers!! 
·        Grandparents Day - Grandparents Day will be Friday, May 10, and is a half day for students. If you would like to help with providing brunch food for our guests, setting up on Thursday, May 9, serving or cleaning up, please sign up at https://signup.com/client/invitation2/secure/1853422/false#/invitation Lots of PIP hours available!
·        Box Tops - We will be having our last Box Top collection on Friday, May 17th.  Start sending in those Box Tops.
·        Nature's Place - Workday in Nature's Place: After a rain-out on our last workday in Nature's Place, we have rescheduled for Saturday, May 4, beginning at 9 AM. Work will include weeding, mulching, and pruning. We also need to remove the gravel from the areas around the raised beds, clean/remove the soil down to the weed barrier (replace weed barrier as needed) and reinstall the gravel to a 3”-4” depth to prevent new weed growth. If you can help out, please sign up at https://signup.com/go/mg8viH. Please bring work gloves and any helpful tools you may have, such as a shovel, wheelbarrow, pruning shears or garden rake.
