Girl Scouts - OLPH Girl Scout Troop Ice Cream Social and information meeting - Thursday, Aug. 22nd 6-7pm in the OLPH school cafeteria.  Current scouts and any interested girls (Kindergarten – 8th grade) and their families are encouraged to join us!   We will have an overview of the troop year, the Troop Handbook, and will do our best to answer any questions you may have about Girl Scouts, your scout level, and what OLPH Girl Scouts is all about!  If you have any questions, please contact us at olphgirlscouttroop@gmail.com.

Praying Parents - Draw closer to God through prayer and fellowship when you join Praying Parents.  Meet on Tuesday beginning August 20th at 9:30 A.M. in the Parish Library.  If you are interested, please contact Lori Voges, lvoges@myolph.com.

Tuition Support - This light-hearted appeal can make a Big difference!  The Catholic schools in our diocese provide spiritual and intellectual growth to 3,200 students in our two high schools and eight elementary schools.  The need for supplemental tuition support has doubled over the past 5 years.  A record $4.2 million dollars in tuition support was given to families this past year.  Help ensure all children have the opportunity to enjoy a Catholic education by supporting our Catholic Schools Tuition Support Collection.  To make a gift, place your gift in the basket at Mass the weekend of aUgust 17 - 18 or visit www.dioknox.org/holler.

MAINTENANCE POSITION - OLPH CATHOLIC PARISH AND SCHOOL IS LOOKING FOR A FULL-TIME MAINTENANCE WORKER.  THIS EMPLOYEE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR MAINTAINING THE FACILITIES AND GROUNDS OF THE CHURCH AND SCHOOL.  TASKS COULD INCLUDE, PLUMBING WORK, PAINTING, LANDSCAPING, ELECTRICAL REPAIRS AND HVAC MAINTENANCE.  FOR MORE INFORMATION, INCLUDING A JOB DESCRIPTION CONTACT ROBERT JONES AT (423) 622-7232.

·        Summer Office Hours - The School Office Hours for the summer are Wednesday's 9:00 A.M. - 2:00 P.M.
·        God Camp - It's time to sign your children up for God Camps this summer. Registrations went home this week with your children. Incoming 7th and 8th graders are at Reach, June 24-27 and incoming 5th and 6th graders are at Discover, June 27-29. Both held at Harrison Bay State Park at their Group Camp. Youth will be staying in cabins with 3 of their friends and 2 high school leaders. ·        Tables for Sale - We have 44 round wooden banquet tables to sell.  You may purchase 1 or as many as you like.  All offers will be considered. Contact the school office if you are interested.
·        Choo Choo Choir - Paul Blazek, an OLPH Parishioner, directs Chattanooga's Choo Choo Chorus. They have a concert coming up June 1st at 3:00 P.M. at GPS. The main attraction is the Humdingers (a quartet from Disney) and the theme of the show is Disney songs. Any profit from this show goes toward the Christmas concert and everything made from the Christmas concert goes to charities for children. Children 12 and under get in free. ·        Art News - Our students that did the giant snack project in art, will have their work displayed in the exhibition gallery at the Creative Discovery Museum for the month of June until August! An exciting opportunity for their work to be seen in the community, and with Iron man and other summer events there are loads of international visitors who will get to see their talents as well. Students participating will receive free/discounted tickets for them and their families to attend and see their work on display starting mid-June.
