SCHOOL NEWS: Catholic Raffle Calendars, Financial Assistance
for 2018- 2019, Virtus Training, Boy Scout BBQ Sale, OLPH Open House, Catholic
Teens United and Catholic Charities Bake Sale

Catholic Raffle
Calendars - The Scholars,
Leaders and Saints Raffle Sale has begun! We really need 100% of families to participate in this very important
fundraiser for our Tuition Assistance Fund and Annual Fund. If you meet your
family goal of 3 sold you will be entered into the drawing for a $100 Amazon
gift card - AND you can claim 3 PIP hours! Sell 6 and you will get a
second entry - and 5 PIP hours! All of the proceeds from the entries sold
here will remain in the Chattanooga area, with $15 coming back to our school
and the remainder going to the Tuition Assistance Fund that is shared by OLPH,
SJS and NDHS. For $36.50 (or 3/$100) purchasers will receive an entry into
each of 365 drawings (one for each day of the year) for a total of $50,000
in cash prizes ranging from $100 to $500.Order forms are coming home with the
youngest student in Friday Folders this week. 5th through 8th grade have been
mailed. Purchase online, turn in to the office or Mail to Notre Dame High

Financial Assistance for
2018 - 2019 - FACTS Grant & Aid
online application for 2019/2020 opened on October 22, 2018. (Click the link below
to apply.)
The application takes approximately 25 minutes to complete. Applicants are
required to upload 2017 federal tax return and 2018 W2 forms. We suggest
starting the application and uploading your 2017 federal tax return as soon as
possible. You can finish/submit the application after you have uploaded your
2018 W2 forms. Applications and tax forms must be submitted by February 1,
2019. All Families must have a signed Parish Affiliation Form on file in the
Parish Office.

Virtus Training - We are having the Virtus class in Spanish , Saturday November 10th
from 9am to 12pm here at OLPH in the PLC, please register for the class
at www.virtus.org , where it says;
español - acceso o inscripción and follow the instruccions there. For more
information you can call Laura Moore at 423-622-7232. Please don't bring kids
to this class.

4. Boy Scout
BBQ Sale - OLPH Boy
Scout Troop 115 is having a BBQ Sale on Sunday, November 4th, after
morning masses. Reserve your BBQ
today. Text or phone in your orders to
Kevin at 612-325-0848. Whole pork butt
injected, rubbed, smoked and pulled, served hot in aluminum ½-pan covered and
ready to go. The price is $50 a
pan. Smoked under the watchful eye of
the award winning Owls Nest BBQ Competition BBQ Team. The 8 - 9 pound butts
will serve up to 12 - 14 people. We will
have your order ready for pickup after all Sunday morning masses.
5. OLPH Open
House - We will be holding
an Open House on Tuesday, November 6, at 9 AM to introduce
prospective families to our great school! If you have a neighbor or friend
who you think might be interested in any grade, Pre-K3 through 8 please invite
them! You are our best advertising tool. There is nothing more compelling than
a personal invitation from another parent who is happy with their child's
school. Fill out and turn in a referral form (see attachment) BEFORE that
family contacts us and you will receive a $100 tuition or registration fee
credit after they enroll.
6. Catholic
Teens United - Catholic Teens United
(CTU) is a new program starting up in the Diocese of Knoxville for our Catholic
teens, from 8th grade to college. We will be meeting monthly at area parishes
to expose our teens to the truth of Catholicism, empower them to make an impact
on our world through prayer in Eucharistic Adoration, and help them grow in
holiness through the sacrament of Confession. Come to the kickoff party
and hear inspirational Catholic speaker Jimmy Mitchell. Jimmy is a speaker and
Musician out of Nashville. He has traveled the world with the mission of
helping others fall in love with God. He is a speaker for many Life Teen
programs and runs Life Teen camps in 3 continents.

7. Catholic
Charities Bake Sale - The Catholic Charities Bake Sale is
a longstanding Chattanooga tradition that raises much-needed funds for
Counseling, pregnancy services, immigration services, housing for those living
with AIDS and many other services for those in need. We are in need of
HOME-BAKED pies, cakes, cookies or breads for the sale in our parish the
weekend of November 10-11 to support this vital community agency.Please sign up

New Spirt Store is OPEN!!!

Coach Soutuyo
will hold open gym time for interested 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade girls on
November 6th 6:00-7:00 and November 9th will start right after school until
5:00. Come out and warmup your Basketball skills!!!

It’s that
time!!!! Basketball Sign UPS. 4th-8th grade boys and girls
interested in playing this winter season please sign up ASAP!! Practices
begin after Thanksgiving break!! Sign up form is under Athletics tab on
OLPH web site and in the School Office. Deadline to sign up is Tuesday,
November 20th. We are looking for an Elem Girls Coach!!! If you are
