SCHOOL NEWS: Yearbook Ads, Grandparents Day, Spring Fling, Notre Dame Production, Home and School Board, PIP Hours, Kindergarten Camp, and House Numbers

1.      Yearbook - It is time to purchase ads for our Yearbook.  If you are interested in buying a whole, half or quarter of a page in the yearbook, there are forms available in the school office.  Cost is $100 for a whole page, $50 for a half page, and $25 for a quarter of a page.  This is a great way to remember the school year.  Order forms for the yearbook are also available in the school office.
2.      Grandparents Day - Grandparents Day is coming up on Friday, May 5th. If you need to add, edit, or remove a Grandparent address from ParentsWeb, please contact Cissy West at cwest@myolph.com.  If you are interested in working on the planning for Grandparents’ Day, contact Cissy West if you want to help.
3.      Spring Fling - Please join us as we celebrate Spring and the END of testing! Enjoy social time with our school community. Home and School will provide hamburgers and hotdogs. You bring the lawn chairs, lawn games, and a food item to share (see the link to volunteer spot on what to bring). You can also work on those last minute PIP hours https://signup.com/client/invitation/6775657374/1851419/false#!1851419/false/false (sign-up to help with set-up/serving/clean-up). Please RSVP to the Facebook event with the number attending OR to rams.home.and.school@gmail.com so that we can prepare enough food for the evening.
4.      Notre Dame Production - Notre Dame High School Theatre is proud to present this year's musical entitled "You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown", based on "Peanuts" comic strip by Charles M. Schultz.  The production runs April 21-23, 2017 with performances at 7:00 on Friday and Saturday and 2:00 on Sunday.  Tickets are free with ID for Diocesan students and employees and $10 general admission.

6.      PIP Hours - DID YOU KNOW that there is one place that you can go to see all the volunteer opportunities available for parents at OLPH? The end of the school year is rapidly approaching, and Many families have not met their required  PIP hours - but have no fear! 7.      Kindergarten Camp - STEPPING UP TO KINDERGARTEN CAMP

STEPPING-UP TO KINDERGARTEN - Rising Kindergarten Students

Is your child ready for Kindergarten?  Get a head start with "Stepping-Up" camp.  This camp will provide many hands-on classroom experiences as an introduction to the kindergarten environment.  Children will enjoy crafts, language arts, math, religion, science, social studies, art, music, and activities.  They will have recess and a snack too. WOW! Who could imagine that school could be this much fun!!!  Applications are available in the school and church offices.

SPORTS NEWS
·        The popular Catholic Football Skills Clinic is right around the corner (June 5-9, 9am – 12pm). The camp will be held at OLPH and open to all boys age 8 – 14.  Campers are separated based on age and skill level.  The week focuses on fundamental football techniques.  In addition, instruction on a variety of related topics will be covered (leadership, conditioning, speed and agility, yoga, rules of the game, etc.).   It is a fun and worthwhile week.  Daily snack and camp shirt will be provided to all participants.  It's a great week and we hope you will join us.
·        The OLPH Booster Club is now accepting applications to become a board member for the 2017-2018 school year. Next year holds lots of exciting opportunities for the OLPH sports program. We meet monthly, usually off campus, and have a lot of fun.  If you would like to contribute to the athletic program please get involved as a booster club board member.  If interested, please pick up an application in the front office.  Any questions, feel free to contact Dawn Brown at 502-931-3864 or dawnbrown636@gmail.com, other current board members are: Kari Ingle, Tim Soard, Emily Lindsey and Erin Gabbert. Applications are due by 4/19/2017.  Thank you!
